yaeee now let's talk about movies, that are banned in singapore.. haha... yeah koped from my elder bro... he bought all in US.. yeah so why are they banned in Singapore? haha... itz too violent... and i totally agree man... dun worry i haven turned into a monster just by watching the shows... but anyway thought the shows were interesting apart from the bloodshed...

1. Old Boy ( Korean, won gold awards at the Venice film festival, according to my bro)

summary: gosh... itz a damn interesting show la... basically talking about vengeance. first, this guy A had a happy family, wife and daughter. Then one day, he was kidnapped and locked into this room for 15 years. his wife was murdered soon after he was kidnapped.

after 15 years, his captives released him. he met this girl B at a sushi bar, a much much younger girl than him. then the girl like him, just suddenly. Then A decided to find out who imprisoned him for 15 years and wanted revenge.

So in the process, he discovered that it's this guy C. C tell A to play a game, if A doesnt find out why he imprisoned him within 5 days, then C will kill B. so A was like oh shit, so he went to trace out the background of C. along the way, he had sex with B.

so Ok that aside, he found out that C was his schoolmate in secondary school. and C actually liked his own sister D.. aka incest. and A saw the 2 of them doing it in school, and so, A started rumours about it, rumours that turned until like D is pregnant even though she wasnt. so being so young, C was panicking... like wth if the baby is born is the baby his son or his nephew? yeah so C and D went to a dam, and D decided that to end all these, she should die. so D jumped into the dam and drownded, C held her hand for a while before letting it go... yeah...

so obviously C was damn angry with A who sort of caused D's death cuz he spreaded the rumours. and C finally told A what happened actually. C hypnotised both A and B so that B will fall in love with A, and then they will do it somehow... but... B is actually THE DAUGHTER OF A! OK so C is trying to make them have incest.

when A heard that, he couldnt take it, just gone a little bit crazy and ask C never to tell B the truth, imagine if the daugther knew that she had sex with her father... wth right... yeah so A went on to take a scissors and cut his own tongue.. yeah bloody show... so uhh in the end C killed himself.. and B still loved A, though A couldnt talk anymore.

2. Battle Royal
summary: the world of japan has changed so much such that the teens have no respect for adults at all, so the adults decided to invent a game to teach these teens a lesson. one fine day, a class of students were having their class field trip, when the whole bus was filled by some gas which made the students faint, then when they woke up, they were already transported to this deserted island to play the game.

so wat are the rules of the game? u have to kill each other within 3 days, after 3 days the 1 person surviving will win and return to his/her home. so basically u are killing ur own friends. if there's still more than 1 survivor after 3 days, then the necklace that each of them wear on their neck will explode and they will die. so... yeah u guessed it, they show how the students kill each other... though some gathered in groups and try to live by, they still end up killing each other after a conflict starts... yeah and couples, eh 1 couple hanged themselves, another jumped off the cliff... interesting right... really can see how humans react when pushed to their limits...

3. Battle Royal 2

this is even more cheesy than Battle Royal. aka now a whole new class of students were chosen, put on the island, but this time round, they are supposed to kill just 1 person, the survivor of Battle Royal 1. so at least there isnt so much dilemma of killing ur own friends... yeah... nothing much to say...

hmm decided that i shall stop reading thrillers and read something more enriching to my life, so went to the library with py to borrow some booKs... at first saw those marketing books, suddenly felt it may be quite useful doing some reading up... but on second thoughts, decided to take a break from those work related stuff, and choose something closer to self improvement... sooo i borrowed: What do you stand for? itz a compilation of stories about principles that matter... basically they ask a group of pple, some well known ones, and ask them, what do you stand for? mainly talking about principles, and making decisions, should u follow ur principles even if it means u have to sacrifice something u have, or do wat is best for the situation?

i guess itz time to curb the desire, the temptation, and uphold the principles that i always thought i should uphold...

vin cycled all the way from tpy to my house alone!!! though i couldnt ask him into the house, but just seeing him from the balcony is enough... =) thanks for that surprise... really caught me by surprise man... haha... thanks...
